Clarinda brings practical fundraising solutions to nonprofits. Her approach to development has empowered board members, staff and volunteers by taking the fear and mystery out of fundraising. For over 25 years, Clarinda has worked with small and large nonprofits implementing strategies that increase individual and corporate prospects, cultivation and stewardship involvement and identifying areas for fundraising improvement. Her experience includes serving as the interim development director, capital campaigns, strategic planning, fundraising assessments, corporate sponsorships, membership drives, development of fundraising plans, special events, prospect identification, mentoring, donor solicitation and board trainings on fundraising. She recently led Oregon City’s Rediscover the Falls board through their campaign’s readiness phase. The $10M campaign was part of the Willamette Falls Legacy Project which will create a public riverwalk to the Willamette Falls in Oregon City.
Clarinda was a Founder of the Interim Development Director (IDD) team at the Nonprofit Association of Oregon. The IDD team at NAO served the community between 2005 – 2018. Clarinda continues to serve at NAO as a Verified Business Associate which includes consulting and interim services.
