Hear what board members, executive directors, and other nonprofit professionals in the Portland metro area are saying about Fundraising on a Mission:
Client: Scott McEachern
Southern Coos Hospital Foundation - Executive Director
Fundraising on a Mission developed and delivered a capital campaign feasibility study report for Southern Coos Hospital’s Foundation (SCHF). The Hospital immediately began to put some of the suggestions in the report to work as we plan for the remodel and expanded emergency department. Clarinda and James offered a much-needed objective viewpoint on how the community perceives our small rural hospital and the services we provide; developed a clear roadmap of tasks to tackle in preparation for a campaign; and gave us data to make informed decisions. We are grateful for the insight from Clarinda and James look forward to continuing our work with them we launch our capital campaign.
Client: Portland Center Stage
Cynthia Fuhrman, Managing Director
Clarinda’s presence as our Interim Development Director reassured the board and donors that fundraising efforts would continue while searching for a permanent Development Director. While with PCS, she conducted a fundraising audit to help us better understand and improve our capacity for increasing contributed income. She met with staff, board and donors to receive feedback from a variety of perspectives on our fundraising activities. We were able to give our new Development Director a full and complete background of methods we have used in fundraising, performance measurement reports and recommendations for the future. This has been of great help in getting our Development Director up and running quickly in her new position.
Nonprofit Association of Oregon
Jim White, Executive Director
"The Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum (EASM) went through a reorganization that could have led to a museum closure, but instead the organization emerged as stronger and more connected to the community. Clarinda served as the Interim Development Director and helped lead the efforts at the Museum to rebuild and reshape its legacy."
Client: Family Promise of Beaverton
Jolene Guptill, Executive Director
"Fundraising on a Mission led a planning retreat for our capital campaign. As the Executive Director, I could see the change in the Board during the retreat. Part of our mission is to recognize everyone's gifts and skills. The training brought that out over the course of the afternoon. The Board now understands their role in the campaign and what they can lend to the process."
